Leisenberg
| - Allgemeine Etymologie In nothern Germany Leise was the same as Liese and Liese was a common name for streams or fields (lis meant "swamp, reed"). So perhaps the family came from the town Lieseberg or they lived near a swamp and a hill (Berg = hill).  |
